Join the team

Help us build Africa's capacity to make, innovate and scale.

We're hiring across two tracks right now: a Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer role, and our rolling Internship Programme.

01 — Monitoring & Evaluation

Track impact. Make the evidence count.

DMM’s engagement across development programmes, technical assistance and multi-stakeholder partnerships including work associated with RISA-KECC, Adam Smith International, CONESAM and FCDO-supported initiatives reflects our growing role in supporting innovation ecosystems, strengthening delivery capacity and translating development priorities into practical interventions. These engagements position DMM within an ecosystem that values evidence, accountability, institutional strengthening and sustainable outcomes.

The MEL Officer will design and maintain systems for tracking programme implementation, measuring results and generating evidence for informed decision-making. The successful candidate must understand the results chain from activities and outputs to outcomes and impact and translate programme data into practical insights that improve performance and demonstrate results.

You'll turn that data into donor-ready reporting analysing trends, flagging risks early, and producing the evidence DMM's partners, including USPF Nigeria, Inovate 2100 and UK International Development, rely on to track progress against results frameworks.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain M&E frameworks, logframes and indicator trackers
  • Design data-collection tools for programmes and training cohorts
  • Monitor the programme pipelines and implementation across project areas
  • Produce donor-ready reports and dashboards
  • Support quality assurance across DMM's projects, programmes, and network

What you need

  • Experience in M&E, research or programme data within development or NGO settings
  • Comfortable with indicator design, data tools (Excel/Sheets, Power BI or similar) and donor reporting formats
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across several active programmes at once
  • Based in Abuja, Nigeria and able to travel occasionally

02 — Internship

Learn by making.

Our internship programme puts you inside a live manufacturing and innovation ecosystem working alongside engineers, trainers and programme teams on real products and real deadlines.

Interns rotate through hands-on tracks digital design and 3D modelling, CNC fabrication, training delivery, or programmes and communications depending on where DMM needs support and where your interests lie.

You'll work on actual deliverables, not busywork: prototypes bound for a client, materials for an active training cohort, or data that feeds into one of DMM's live programmes.

What you'll do

  • Support live projects across one of DMM's four capability areas
  • Get hands-on time with CNC machines, 3D printers and design software
  • Shadow mentors and contribute to real training cohorts
  • Help document and report on active programmes

What you need

  • Currently studying or recently graduated engineering, design, development studies or related
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn hands-on tools
  • Reliable, able to commit to the full internship period
  • Based in or able to relocate to a DMM hub location
